Mike Kennedy

Our team of coaches is led by former NHLer, Mike Kennedy. Mike has over 15 years of professional hockey experience. After retiring from a long and successful hockey career, Mike wanted to focus on coaching children. He developed the Sports Training Academy as a place where kids can develop their talents in many different sports, not just one. Mike's philosophy is that the best athlete is the all-around athlete.

Mark Penelton

• Actively playing for 22 years including 2 years of high school hockey for both Oakville Trafalgar and St. Thomas Aquinas

• Hockey Instructor for 2 years at Ice2Ice Hockey Development Centre
• Coach of youth hockey teams for 3 years
• Currently coaching a ladies hockey team: The Honey Badgers

Sarah Edney

University: Hockey Scholorship to the U.S.

Position: Defense

 Athletic Career: Sarah is a Mississauga Chiefs Alumni (7 yrs) and Hornets Alumni (2 yrs) and member of the Canadian National Women’s Under 22 team.  She is currently a sophomore at a University in the U.S. where she was named to the ECAC All-Rookie team.  In 2011 Sarah captained the Under 18 Team Canada to gold.

Accomplishments:
• 2 Silver medals in World Junior A Challenges
• Team Captain of Canada East
Future aspirations:
Committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the fall to study engineering and play Division 1 NCAA College Hockey.
